    Threats to journalism abound: trust in the media has plummeted, online platforms have undermined advertising revenues, and partisan violence against reporters is on the rise. Policymakers increasingly need to navigate thorny constitutional, not to mention prudential, questions about how to define journalism and the optimal way to support, subsidize, and protect the press. Our panel will take up these questions.
