This pedagogy panel offers expertise on integrating indigenous frameworks into Family Law and Children & the Law courses. This panel will discuss how to implement lessons on the Indian Child Welfare Act (ICWA) in both doctrinal and clinical classroom settings, while grounding it in both political and cultural terms and emphasizing its importance to family law, children and the law, and other courses. The panel will also incorporate important aspects of Texas v. Haaland, the pending ICWA Supreme Court case that will address the constitutionality of this monumental federal law.
