Sessions Description
-
Set to debut in July 2026, the NextGen Uniform Bar Examination marks a significant shift in attorney licensure. This session offers a focused, high-impact briefing for legal educators preparing for this transition. Tailored for law faculty and academic support professionals, the session explores how the exam integrates core doctrinal subjects with essential lawyering skills, including legal research, writing, analysis, and client interaction. Developed through a national practice analysis and shaped by legal educators, judges, and practitioners, the NextGen exam aligns closely with trends in experiential learning, clinical education, and skills-based assessment. As the countdown to launch continues, this session will equip attendees with critical insights and strategies to adapt instruction, strengthen academic support, and prepare students for success in a more relevant and practice-ready licensing process.
