Visit and explore Angel Island and the Angel Island Immigration station which has two main museums, the Detention Barracks Museum, and the Immigration Museum. The barracks provides visitors with a history of immigration detention and exclusion at Angel Island from 1910 to 1940. Visitors observe the recreated living conditions for the 300,000 detainees who were held for weeks, months, and years on Angel Island. The Immigration Museum is housed in the former hospital. It features the personal stories of immigrants, and historical and contemporary immigration policies and social issues.
