Over the last three decades, more lawyers, including law deans and professors are being tapped as college and university presidents. Sometimes a law professor follows the conventional career path, becoming a dean, and then a law dean becoming a provost and then a president. However, there are examples of law professors going straight to the presidency, as well as law deans going straight to the presidency. Hear from a panel of university presidents who started in the legal academy about opportunities to lead the C-Suite, the executive level positions in a company.
