This works-in-progress session offers a platform for sharing ongoing research and scholarly work related to the study of democracy and its various aspects. Aligned with the mission of the Scholarship Section, the Section enthusiastically invited submissions from scholars, researchers, and practitioners interested in exploring innovative methodologies and approaches to investigating the defense of democracy. The Works in Progress session provides an opportunity for authors to present and discuss their ongoing research. Papers were selected in response to a call for papers. Interdisciplinary submissions that focus on the intersections between law and political science, history, economics, psychology, sociology, anthropology, and related fields, were encouraged, as well as empirical, experimental, and theoretical contributions.
