Law schools have been guided by principles of academic neutrality. However, even the strongest expressions of institutional neutrality allow that law schools should take stands when crises threaten the mission or values of higher education.

This session is a facilitated workshop on potential crises for law schools threatened by the statements and conduct of the Trump administration.

The session will review threats to 1) the rule of law, 2) academic freedom/expression, and 3) people in our community. We will discuss whether, when, and how law schools should take stands individually and collectively in response to these threats.
