This panel will discuss how law school curricular and co-curricular experiences equip students with leadership skills to serve our communities. During law school, students are presented with numerous leadership opportunities to engage in work related to public service, policy issues, and social justice through student organizations, clinics, and pro bono programs. Lawyers offer expertise and leadership when called upon to serve on foundations, nonprofit boards, homeowner associations, community organizations, or as managers of law firms or in elected positions. Specifically, the panelists will discuss initiatives and programs at their institutions that prepare law students for personal and professional leadership beyond law school.
