Minority law teachers face special challenges in the legal academy, starting from their
first day of teaching. At this workshop, diverse panels of experienced and
successful law professors will offer ways to successfully meet these challenges
as they arise in the context of scholarship, teaching, service, and the tenure
process. By bringing together faculty who are navigating similar career paths,
the workshop will facilitate development of relationships that can provide
long-term sources of support.
The workshop will be of interest to all minoritized law
school teachers who are navigating the tenure process and looking for
guidance and encouragement.
