    The first roundtable will provide a broad background on the landscape of climate tort litigation including a discussion of the history of the litigation, the bases of liability and challenges to those theories, the regulatory use of tort adjudication in similar large-scale contexts and the likelihood of success in the climate change context, federal preemption of state law, the question of remedies, and transnational issues.
