The reopening of Three Mile Island was breaking news only a few weeks ago. This nuclear reactor site is the location of the worst nuclear disaster on US soil. The reopening of Three Mile Island is happening because of the huge amounts of energy required by the increasing use and development of AI technology. This recent news has led to increasing concern and scrutiny over the massive energy requirements of AI, especially during this time of climate emergency. This is a hot topic to consider for legal educators, as many already do or are considering using AI in their classrooms.
