The specter of an economic recession is looming on the global economies. Rising interest rates, a surge in consumer price inflation, and the shockwaves of geopolitical events are undermining financial stability and presenting new challenges to financial regulators. How are financial markets and regulators coping with the volatility in commodity markets, the increasing use of crypto assets, or the risks of nonbank financial intermediaries? This panel is open to explore open issues that financial regulation faces in a time of global uncertainty.
