From the classroom to health care to a child’s identity, parents’ rights permeate our atmosphere. As the legal system and scholars focus on these rights, the voices of children are often ignored. With an eye toward children’s equality, this panel will provide snapshots for how children’s rights should be articulated in this moment from those who work on behalf of children, including diverse perspectives from children of color, LGBTQ children, children facing adversity in education, disabled children, and children in the family regulation system. In this panel, we will hear from speakers advocating for children’s rights in this moment.
