Building Bridges between Secular and Religious Human Rights Communities Secular and religious human rights communities often do not communicate well with each other and sometimes work at cross-purposes. This panel will discuss strategies for building bridges, including through concepts such as human dignity that have both secular and religious conceptions; through utilizing comparative law approaches and through proposals of utilizing asylum law to protect women who have suffered gender-based violence due to their religious beliefs.
