The ABA’s recently revised Standard
303 emphasizes the importance of opportunities for students to develop their
professional identities throughout law school and across the curriculum as well
as in co-curricular activities. The goal of this program is to aid all legal
educators and law schools in planning professional identity formation
programming. Speakers will share professional identity programming initiatives
at their own institutions, including best practices and lessons learned. The
panel will address initiatives inside and outside the classroom, as Standard
303 applies across all years of law school and in both classroom and
non-classroom settings. The Section held a virtual business meeting prior to the Annual Meeting.
