    In his new book, The Idea of Prison Abolition, Tommie Shelby examines the abolitionist case against prisons and its formidable challenge to would-be prison reformers. After opening remarks by Prof. Shelby, there will be critical replies by a distinguished set of law professors and a response by Prof. Shelby.
