Recent additions of originalist justices to the Supreme Court, the increased number of originalist lower federal court and state court judges, and the robust scholarly and public debates over originalism suggest that originalism is going to play an important role in constitutional law and interpretation for the foreseeable future. This panel provides a forum for new criticisms of originalism and puts them in conversation with explanations and defenses of the theory.
