In addition to producing influential scholarship and facilitating effective student learning, law professors are also called upon to be good institutional citizens (and committee members) by furthering law school priorities and contributing to multiple institutional relationships with students, staff, faculty, university officials, community members, alumni, and practitioners and judges. Such interactions can present exciting opportunities, but junior faculty must consider how to prioritize among them and how to balance the competing demands on their time.
