This panel will consider the pedagogy and practice of empirical legal studies (ELS). Speakers will discuss (a) how and why ELS has become part of mainstream legal scholarship, (b) the promises and limitations to teaching and doing empirical work in law schools, and (c) advances in new empirical research.
