The two panels will explore the transformation of the definition of “corporate governance.”  The public’s view of the corporation and corporate governance has grown.  Arguably, corporate governance is no longer just about the relationship between officers, directors, and shareholders in the private-law, state-dominated sphere.  The federal government and the media have increasing influence over public corporations and their governance.  International norms also play a role.
