This panel brings together legal scholars who contributed to Presumed Incompetent II: Race, Class, Power and Resistance of Women in Academia (Utah State University Press, 2020). The panel makes visible the formidable obstacles that women of color encounter on the road to tenure, promotion, and academic leadership, as well as the tenacity and creativity that they deploy to succeed in challenging work environments. The panel should be of interest to all who care about making legal academia a more welcoming, inclusive, and equitable place.
