All Section Officers are encouraged to attend this session. We especially recommend Chairs and Chairs-Elect to attend. At this year's program, AALS President-Elect Mark Alexander will share and discuss his theme for the 2024 Annual Meeting in Washington, DC. AALS Associate Director of Sections Clarissa Ortiz will review the 2023 Section Officer’s Planning Guide and answer questions you may have.
In addition, the AALS is delighted to honor the co-winners of the 6th Annual Section of the Year Award, the Section on Pre-Law
Education and Admission to Law School and the Section on Technology,
Law, and Legal Education.
The Section of the Year Award recognizes excellence in member support and other activities that promote AALS’s core values. Activities may include annual meeting programming, facilitating outstanding scholarship, providing teaching support and course materials, community/pro bono service, engagement with the bar and bench, mentoring programs, expanding membership and member engagement, creative use of technology, and more.
