Why do we write and what do we write?  This concurrent workshop continues the “Scholarship Overview” with a discussion on how to formulate a sustainable scholarly agenda, identify issues that may shape scholarly agenda, and focus on scholarship goals for tenure and beyond.  The discussion will also explicitly take up the question of how race (in terms of both the identity of the scholar and intellectual context of the work) can shape how scholarship is received. The presenters will also explain how to create a network of support for your scholarship and to stay engaged in academia through scholarship.
