    Over the past 18 months, the presenters have worked together to draft a guide for clinics to conduct self-assessments of how well they are operationalizing antiracist practices in their structure and day-to-day functioning. During this workshop, we will collaboratively introduce participants to the key elements of our model for clinical self-assessments, touching on topics such as:

    • Leadership and Decision-making
    • Project and Case Selection
    • Soliciting and Implementing Feedback
    • DEI Training
    • Hiring and Retention
    • The Clinic’s Public Face

    In each area, the presenters will share insights around how white supremacy may unconsciously influence how clinics operate and make suggestions for antiracist interventions and alternatives. Participants will also be invited to share their expertise, questions, and current challenges through breakout group conversations focused on particular interest areas.

    The self-assessment process is intended to be ongoing and participatory; it is not a best-practices document, but rather a mode of practice and inquiry that supports clinicians and programs in making and sustaining progress over time.
