    The 2019 Call for Papers selected four outstanding papers to present at the Section's program. These four papers represent a rich array of issues: administrative law in Taiwan, plea bargaining in US, South Korea and Japan; sustainable finance and banking regulation in China, and legal fallout from the Fukushima nuclear meltdown. The program will address issues in a variety of East Asian countries (China, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan), allowing the audience to explore comparative aspects of these topics. A common theme of all four papers is the importance of exploring not only the formal law but the practice in the area.
