Emerged and emerging technological developments, including distributed ledger technology, virtual currency, and other digital assets are transforming commercial transactions in ways that are not adequately addressed by existing commercial laws, such as the Uniform Commercial Code. The Uniform Law Commission and the American Law Institute have created a task force to review the UCC and recommend appropriate revisions in light of these technological developments.
