audience about the NCBE’s plans to test in the areas of negotiation, client
counseling, and dispute resolution; 2) share suggestions for how law schools
can adapt their curriculum to prepare students for the change, including
through 1L courses; 3) offer law school administration and faculty perspectives
on how restructuring the curriculum to better prioritize skills development in
these areas could impact law school rankings, student success on the bar exam,
and client satisfaction with legal services.
