The NextGen Bar
Exam, which will impact Fall 2023 law school matriculants, represents a
sea-change. Its focus on legal problem solving, research, writing, and
client-management skills will require systemic change. This Session will
describe the NextGen Bar Exam and present concrete ways to leverage
skills-education expertise to guide law schools through this transition. LRW
and clinical faculty are experts in curriculum design and teaching; but we
cannot carry the load alone. So, how should skills faculty harness our
expertise and engage with law school communities to ensure we all play a role
to prepare students for the NextGen Bar?
