As the American Bar Association is examining whether any updates or changes are needed to the Library and Information Resources chapter of the ABA standards for Approval of Law Schools, we believe it is time to address issues concerning job security for professional librarians. Are the current ABA standards sufficient to provide job security for library professionals, who are not directors? Should the ABA provide additional provisions for position security like those provided for clinical faculty in ABA Standard 405b? What should we be doing to ensure position security and status recognition for professional librarians?

The Section held a virtual business meeting prior to the Annual Meeting.
